We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Derby to assist with the appointment of a Carelink Operator, on a 2.5-month contract, likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: £13.26 - £16.60 per Hour
Summary:
The Carelink Operator will be responsible for call handling and related duties within Derby Carelink, a 24/7 telecare monitoring and response service. This role involves managing emergency calls, coordinating responses, updating client records, and supporting vulnerable individuals.
Responsibilities:
Provide professional and sensitive call handling, assessing urgency and taking appropriate action.
Maintain and update client records on manual and computerised systems.
Respond to emergency telecare calls, prioritising and escalating as needed.
Handle out-of-hours calls for Derby Homes, Adult Social Care, and other council services.
Process new service user registrations and schedule installations.
Ensure telecare equipment is fully charged, operational, and maintained.
Support mobile responders and monitor lone workers.
Required Experience & Skills:
Experience in customer service, call handling, or emergency response environments.
Strong communication skills with the ability to handle sensitive situations professionally.
Proficiency in IT systems, including data entry and record-keeping.
