This hotel from the Cairn Group looks as spectacular today as it did when it was built in 1870, thanks in part to the stained glass windows and oak staircase that have remained there for the past 150 years. With an elegant restaurant and cocktail bar that catches the eye with hints of its Victorian heritage, you will be no more than a mile away from the centre of York and all of the history that this city holds.
