Job title: Quality Team Leader - Contract Support
Location: Warton - Onsite
Salary: £54,793+ (Depending on skills and experience)
What you'll be doing:
* Responsible for the coordination, integration and management of Contract Support Quality activities across multi-disciplined teams located both on site and with virtual support
* Collaboration with the Customer community; Service Delivery Units and stakeholders across the Quality function to ensure that activities to support Customers and Contracts are agreed, managed and progressed
* Manage improvement activities across multi-disciplined teams located both on site and with virtual support
* Operating as the focal point for all In-Service Customer engagements relating to the Quality of our In-Service products and services
* Proactively driving Quality and business led improvements activities focussed towards improving the quality of our products and services
* Perform objective process confirmations to demonstrate pre- and post- improvement-based performance and effectively managing the timely resolution of all reported Customer quality concerns
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
* HND/HNC (or equivalent relevant experience) in Quality or a STEM subject (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics)
* Knowledge of quality requirements for aerospace and defence contracts (e.g. EN9100, defence regulations and standards)
* Can act independently, impartially and objectively, articulate reports, conclusions and findings to management and stakeholders and has the ability and proven record to drive improvements, moving the organisation forward from beyond compliance to a leaner and more effective one.
* Good understanding of modern Quality practices and techniques including Quality Management / Planning and is familiar with key investigation and improvement tools and techniques (6 sigma, 8D, PFMEA, lean) with the ability to interpret data
* Experience of working in a customer facing environment. An excellent communicator with strong presentation skills, and the ability to exchange factual information clearly at multiple levels internally and externally and must be resilient, work well in a virtual team and be able to work in a challenging and dynamic environment
Desirable:
* Has led or been involved in continuous improvement initiatives at a team, function or business level
* Working towards, or holding six sigma green or black belt accreditation
* Knowledge / experience of the Typhoon, Tornado or Hawk platform would be highly beneficial

The Europe & International (E&I) Contract Support Team operates within the Air Sector, providing expert quality support across a diverse portfolio of products, including Typhoon, Hawk, and T45 aircraft. This dynamic, customer-facing team is dedicated to driving quality engagement, leading investigations, and spearheading improvement initiatives to support our customers' evolving needs.
The team collaborates closely with customers and stakeholders, both nationally and internationally, ensuring seamless communication and delivering innovative solutions.
