About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Relocation Project Manager to oversee the consolidation of three businesses into a new 173,000 sq. ft. warehouse in Liverpool. The role is critical to ensuring a seamless transition of stock and operations while maintaining business continuity. You will be responsible for strategic planning, stakeholder coordination, and execution of the move.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning & Execution
1. Develop and implement a detailed project plan for the warehouse relocation.
2. Oversee the movement of 150+ truckloads of stock in a structured and efficient manner.
3. Ensure minimal disruption to ongoing operations during the transition.
4. Coordinate the closure and decommissioning of the previous site.
5. Provide hypercare support post-move to ensure smooth go-live operations.
Stakeholder & Team Management
1. Collaborate with senior leadership, including the Director of the company & parent company.
2. Work closely with current Warehouse Manager to align processes.
3. Provide guidance and oversight to existing warehouse supervisors.
4. Act as a neutral party to ensure fair integration of all three businesses in the new facility.
Logistics & Warehouse Setup
1. Oversee stock movement sequencing, ensuring the right products are moved at the right time.
2. Review and validate the warehouse layout and racking plan proposed by external vendors.
3. Ensure the facility is set up to accommodate multiple inventory systems (Navision & Cycon).
Data & Process Optimization
1. Work with in-house data teams to extract, analyse, and structure stock movement plans.
2. Optimize bulk and pick-face allocation to support future scalability.
3. Ensure compliance with best warehouse management practices.
Key Requirements:
1. Proven experience in warehouse relocation or large-scale warehouse operations.
2. Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage complex logistics.
3. Background in supply chain, warehousing, or logistics management.
4. Data-driven mindset – ability to analyse stock movement requirements and optimize processes.
5. Experience working with ERP/WMS systems (Navision, Cycon, or similar).
6. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
7. Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines and shifting priorities.
Desirable:
1. Previous experience in e-commerce, retail, or FMCG supply chain operations.
2. Familiarity with warehouse automation and optimization strategies.
3. Knowledge of racking systems and warehouse design best practices.
Details:
Hybrid role with on-site presence in Liverpool, plus site visits.
This role can be fixed term contract of 6 months.
Salary for fixed term will be c£100-115k pro rata.
