Sourcing Program Manager (SPM) New Product Introduction (NPI)
Key Responsibilities
1. IPT (Integrated Product Team) Sourcing and Procurement lead for assigned development programs
2. Direct Sourcing & Procurement personnel to ensure needs of program are met; Escalation point of contact for assigned programs for all sourcing needs, including cost, quality, and delivery.
3. Report out to sourcing leadership on program status; including recovery schedules if necessary.
4. Manage IPDS (integrated product development system) phase gate deliverables for Sourcing and Procurement and ensure completion on time. Fully responsible to identify, execute, and report on all Category 1 and 2 milestones.
5. Translate sourcing strategies into actionable plans at a program level and translate program needs back into sourcing strategies.
6. Plan and manage sourcing activities for input into Program HMR (Honeywell Master Record) and IMS (Integrated Master Schedule)
7. Coordinate closure of any MRL (Manufacturing Readiness Levels) requirements for sourcing and procurement.
8. Coordinate with cross-functional team to support triage activities, which includes support of core/non-core, make/buy, build-to-print versus build-to specification, and critical/non-critical part identification
9. Lead all aspects of ESE (Early Supplier Engagement) for identified critical parts on each assigned program; includes on site Supplier - Engineering meetings on supplier feedback on HON design (affordability, produce-ability)
10. Facilitate possible on-site design reviews with suppliers for buy parts
11. Coordinate with Procurement and supplier contracting teams to ensure that parts on selected programs are awarded and contracted to preferred suppliers, and purchase orders place to meet program requirements.
12. Produce and report sourcing metrics to teams and flawless launch portal. Ensure all metrics meet goals.
13. Develop program RAIL (rolling action item log) track completion status and escalate as necessary to eliminate barriers to performance.
14. Lead Purchase Hardware Coordination for development hardware for the program effort including escalation to procurement groups for action and travel to supplier to engage and resolve issues
15. Lead the coordination with ISC Eng. and Design/Project Engineering to escalate and resolve delivery or technical performance issues with purchased parts
16. Support Program Management, Engineering, ISC Eng. and Procurement to ensure all buy parts meet program UPC and/or should cost targets
17. Monitor Supplier APQP requirements.
Basic Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's Degree in Science, Business, Finance, Supply Chain or related discipline required.
2. Experience with contracting, purchasing, and negotiations.
3. 5+ years of experience in Integrated Supply Chain and Program/Project Management required.
4. Must be computer literate able to learn Honeywell systems and tools as well as experienced usage of Microsoft products (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
5. Must be able to travel when required to support program meetings or manage suppliers
Additional Qualifications:
1. Familiarity with SAP desired
2. Program Management Professional Certification desired
3. Demonstrated leadership and influencing skills.
4. Ability to communicate / interact with all levels of personnel internal and external to Honeywell.
5. Ability to think and drive actions globally.
6. Business acumen to align purchasing goals to strategic business initiatives.
7. Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to integrate diverse opinions and initiatives, teaming and facilitation skills.
