We require a Workshop Administrator and Receptionist to be based at our Stores Road Workshop.
The successful candidate will greet visitors, work closely with workshop staff, carry out a wide range of specialist administrative tasks, liaise extensively with suppliers and internal and external customers, as well as be involved in varied Workshop activities such as locating parts and collecting/delivering vehicles.

The Opportunity
In the role of Workshop Administrator, here’s an example of what you’ll be doing to make an impact:
As well as being the first point of contact within the workshop both in greeting visitors and taking phone calls, you will be an integral part of the Workshop team. You will be dealing with drivers from all areas of the authority delivering vehicles for pre-booked work or taking details of any defects or breakdowns. You will be working closely with the Workshop Team and suppliers to ensure that vehicle progress is communicated to all interested parties. You will be working with our own internal systems and Fleet Management system as well as making extensive use of CIA to ensure that all work carried out is correctly recorded. Every day is different, and there is often a wide variety of work that you could be asked to undertake outside of the office to assist in the overall operation of the Workshop activity.
About You
To be successful in this role, you’ll ideally have:
1. Excellent communication, administrative and numerical skills
2. A proactive outlook, good time management skills along with the ability to prioritise a workload
3. Flexibility and a willingness to undertake a wide range of tasks to assist the overall Workshop operation
4. An understanding of the importance of an effective planned preventative maintenance regime
