Job Role: Purchase goods, materials, components, or services in line with specified cost, quality and delivery targets Support the purchasing function and other relevant departments and communicate any supply problems which may impact on business operations Prepare reports and updates as and when required Prepare and raise purchase orders and order schedules Build, maintain and manage supplier relationships and keep up good communications Ensure that a professional and consistent approach is taken in relation to all supplier relationships To work within the guidelines of the companys health and safety policy. To be flexible, willing and have a can-do attitude Be civil, courteous, and co-operative to colleagues, management, and suppliers. Skills and experience required: Keen attention to detail and accuracy Familiarity with an integrated Material Requirement Planning (MRP) system would be beneficial but not essential Good communication, interpersonal and influencing skills. Tenacious but pragmatic. Able to build and maintain effective and productive relationships with staff, Management, and suppliers Able to manage time effectively, prioritise tasks and achieve set targets Be capable of working independently as well as within a team Excellent keyboard skills with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office. A flexible and positive attitude. Procurement department experience highly desirable.
