Full-time role:
37 hours per week (Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm with some flexibility to meet the requirements of the role)
About the Role:
Oasis Community Housing has an exciting opportunity for a Project Worker to become part of our dynamic and innovative team, within our homeless drop-in service, at Basis Sunderland.
We run a ‘day centre style’ drop-in community based project, delivering both homeless prevention and homelessness response services to vulnerably housed and rough sleepers. We are looking for a candidate with knowledge and experience of working with vulnerable people in a paid or unpaid capacity. An understanding of the benefits system and knowledge of drug and alcohol misuse are all essential for this role.
In return, you will benefit from a supportive, creative environment and have the opportunity to develop your knowledge and skills. We are passionate about our staff and believe in caring for them in the same ways we care about those who engage with our services. We believe staff are the foundation stone to the success of the charity and so we do everything we can to make sure they feel valued, supported, engaged and developed.
Oasis Community Housing is an equal opportunities employer.
Please note – we are unable to contact candidates who have not been shortlisted; if you do not hear from Oasis within six weeks of the closing date, please assume you have been unsuccessful.
