Paramedic Practitioner - Crawley (Including Home Visits) An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Paramedic Practitioner to join a forward-thinking and patient-focused healthcare team in Crawley. This role is ideal for a dedicated and autonomous clinician looking to make a real impact on community healthcare by delivering high-quality care both in clinical settings and through home visits. About the Role: As a Paramedic Practitioner, the successful candidate will be an integral part of a multidisciplinary team, providing urgent and routine care to patients in the local community. The role involves assessing, diagnosing, and managing a variety of conditions, both acute and chronic, while working collaboratively with GPs, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. A key aspect of the role includes home visits, ensuring that patients who are unable to attend the practice receive timely and effective care in their own environment. Key Responsibilities • Conducting home visits to assess, treat, and support patients in their own homes, ensuring high standards of care. • Managing acute and long-term conditions, offering treatment, advice, and follow-up care. • Taking autonomous clinical responsibility for patients, including making referrals and escalating cases where necessary. • Providing advanced clinical assessment and treatment, including the ability to work within a prescribing framework if qualified. • Supporting patients with self-care and long-term condition management, promoting health and well-being. • Working collaboratively with GPs, nurses, pharmacists, and other allied health professionals to provide integrated patient care. • Keeping up to date with clinical guidelines, best practices, and advancements in urgent and primary care. Requirements & Qualifications • HCPC-registered Paramedic with relevant experience in urgent care, primary care, or community settings. • Hold or be working towards a relevant postgraduate qualification (e.g., MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice, Paramedic Practitioner, or equivalent). • Independent Prescribing qualification (desirable but not essential, with training support available). • Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and decision-making skills with the ability to work autonomously. • A passion for delivering patient-centered care in a fast-paced and evolving healthcare environment. • Full UK driving license to facilitate home visits.
