Page Personnel are actively working with a long-standing client who is seeking an Accounting Technician to join their team on a permanent basis in Garforth. My client is looking for a proactive and driven individual to assist in all aspects of finance duties, including P/L statements and reports, VAT returns, prepayments, month-end closure duties, and purchase and sales ledger management.

Description
The responsibilities include:
1. Prepare and report daily sales and orders to managers.
2. Process accounts payable authorised invoices.
3. Process authorised expenses and cash expenses.
4. Process resale invoices.
5. Prepare and review monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
6. Prepare and distribute liquidity report.
7. Maintain fixed asset register which includes capitalisation of plant and equipment as per company policy.
8. Complete and assist with the submission of the company VAT return.
9. Assist with the month-end process by performing currency, accruals, prepayment, depreciation, and other required journals.
Profile
A successful Accounts Assistant should have:
1. Previous experience in an Accounts Assistant/Assistant Accountant role.
2. A driven personality, looking to progress long term into management accounts.
3. Proficiency in relevant software (MS Excel, accounting software, etc.).
4. Strong communication skills and a keen eye for detail.
Job Offer
A competitive salary in the range of £27,000 - £29,000 per year.
