Reporting directly to the Head of School and serving on the School’s Leadership Team, the Director of Sports and Activities is responsible for leading our co-curricular program which ensures that as many students as possible, from Kindergarten through to the twelfth grade, are motivated to become involved in the sport or activity of their choice. Encouraging students to participate – irrespective of age, ability, or experience – is the central theme of the co-curricular program at TASIS England. Students who engage in sports and activities derive physical, mental, and social benefits, as involvement can boost confidence, showcase talents, and help students make meaningful connections with peers who share their interests. The Director of Sports and Activities: promotes a mission-led community which is aligned to the School’s Strategic Plan and offers a wide range of extra-curricular programs and activities; engages in effective communication with colleagues, parents and other divisions of the school; emboldens students to learn the benefits of fitness, the value of preparation, and the importance of teamwork; and provides students with exciting opportunities to travel abroad to participate in sports tournaments in Europe. Candidate Profile: An experienced teacher able to demonstrate significant senior management involvement within an international school; A highly professional leader with the skills and ability to engage positively and build strong rapport with students, colleagues and parents; An accomplished communicator with excellent verbal, written and technological skills; Organized and able to consistently meet deadlines and effectively and calmly respond to unexpected issues and challenges; Passionate about driving the aspirations of day and residential students within a collaborative and supportive co-curricular program; and Committed to safeguarding children and young people.
