This opportunity is ideal for an ambitious physician with a keen interest in cardiology, aiming for advancement at registrar level. Successful candidates will play a pivotal role in managing cardiology services at Lister Hospital, overseeing both in-patient and out-patient care for patients with diverse cardiac conditions. Comprehensive training in both invasive and non-invasive cardiology is provided, along with active involvement in the cardiology registrar on-call schedule. Experienced individuals may pursue specialized training in intervention (PCI and PPCI) or Advanced Imaging (CMR, Stress Echo, Cardiac CT).
In addition to clinical duties, there will be structured teaching responsibilities and opportunities for collaborative research initiatives. Core-level cardiology experience is a must, with proficiency in echocardiography considered advantageous. Reporting to the Clinical Director for Cardiology, the successful candidate will be integral to our team and contribute to the ongoing excellence of our services. Participation in the cardiology registrar on-call rotation is expected.The post holder will be encouraged to participate in audits, presentations, and teachings. Although, this post is not recognised for training the appointee will be encouraged in their training and development within the role.
