Role: SEN Teaching Assistant

Salary: £85 - £100 Per day
We are looking for a full time Teaching Assistant to support in a SEN Primary School based in Milton Keynes starting in September 2024. Please see details below
The role is based in a small school for children aged 5 to 11, whose primary need is SEMH (social, emotional, mental health). They also have children with significant complex needs who follow a bespoke curriculum
Job Duties:
Supporting class Senior LSA’s and Teachers with the preparation of resources to meet the personalised learning intentions of allocated students.
Providing 1:1 support under the supervision of the class Teacher for the delivery of skills-based learning.
Work closely with class Teacher to report on progress using an evidence-based approach
To enable students to learn by; understanding their learning goals and targets; enable them to practice and learn new skills and challenge them to be as independent as possible
To be involved in the provision of all aspects of support necessary that will ensure the students wellbeing and ability to function and engage in learning.
To understand and fully implement Safeguarding policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications:
A minimum of GCSE qualifications in English and Maths
Experience:
Prior experience working in a similar role within an educational setting would be ideal but not necessary.
Knowledge and Skills:
Initiative to take proactive actions
Organisational skills to manage tasks efficiently
Prioritisation skills to handle multiple responsibilities

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
