The ideal candidate will enable the Trust to fully realise the information benefits of our recent multi-million pounds investment in a cutting edge Clinical systems enabling the organisation to offer the highest level of health care provision to Manchester.
Within this role you will work as part of a dynamic team providing health intelligence for the Trust utilising the latest analytical and statistical modelling techniques and visualisation tools such as R, Python, Data Bricks and Power BI. You will produce innovative and informative intelligence that will support decision making and strategic thinking across the Trust and offer translational support so that stakeholders can understand and act on complex health intelligence.
Communicating and visualising complex data is a key part of this role, with the aim of developing a shared understanding of the health and care environment.

Main duties of the job
The postholder will:
1. work closely with the Corporate and Operational teams to provide analytical support to determine future pressures against key deliverables, particularly in relation to the NHS plan and locally commissioned targets.
2. engage in the analytical work within the Trust to assess capacity and demand for each clinical service, identifying areas of service pressure, undertaking gap analysis and support the production of option appraisals.
3. provide detailed analysis in order to model demand, resources and throughput to ensure appropriate balance of provision and to identify variances between supply and demand to facilitate discussions of service change, provision or development.
4. assist the Trust to interpret the available data and provide a judgement on actual performance and the ability to deliver operational plans, using predictive modelling techniques.
