Key Responsibilities APQP: Act as the site's Quality representative during Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and manage product or process-related actions. Provide feedback to the project team using gathered data. Process Verification: Ensure all new processes comply with ISO/IATF standards and customer requirements. Liaison with OEMs and Customer Centers: Represent the site’s Quality department when communicating with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), global or internal departments during the onboarding of new products, customers, or changes requiring customer approval. Coordinate and manage the PPAP process: to ensure compliance with customer requirements and industry standards. Concerns Support: Assist in investigating internal and external quality concerns. Data Analysis: Use data analysis to support problem-solving processes and provide feedback to guide internal projects if changes are needed. Compliance with Standards: Work with other quality engineers to ensure manufacturing areas comply with ISO 9001/IATF 16949 standards and Customer Specific Requirements (CSRs). Maintain linkages between process flow, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Control Plan, Work Instructions, and records. Quality Coaching: Support and coach personnel on quality-related issues by interfacing with other departments. Internal Quality Audits: Conduct internal quality audits, generate reports, and ensure timely closure of non-conformances or Opportunities for Improvement (OFIs). Manufacturing Changes Verification: Analyze data to verify and validate proposed manufacturing changes and regularly report project progress to Quality Management. Supplier Development Support: Assist the Supplier Development team by participating in site audits or providing expert advice for supplier Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) submissions. Quality Reporting: Report and act on Quality department findings and initiatives. Other Duties To carry out any other reasonable duties as requested by the company Minimum of 3 years in an automotive/ Aerospace quality engineering / quality role - essential Degree/HND in an engineering discipline – desirable Full understanding of IATF16949/ AS9100/ ISO9001 and customer specific requirements - essential Internal Auditor Trained to IATF16949/ISO9001– desirable Working knowledge of APQP process – desirable Working with bulk materials experience will be added advantage Working experience with quality software will be added advantage Soft Skills Related For The Position Confident and articulate, the role holder must be able to communicate effectively within the company at all levels. The role holder will also need to regularly liaise with different departments and needs to be able to lead a team and will therefore require good team and interpersonal skills Ability to demonstrate attention to detail is essential as well as the ability to work well in a fast-changing environment, demonstrate good organisational skills and be able to prioritise. Balancing the number of tasks this role involves, is imperative The role holder must be self-motivated and driven to achieve targets. Good time management and prioritising skills are key in the performance of this role as well as showing flexibility and responsiveness.
