Progress Teachers are working with a mainstream Leicestershire Secondary School to appoint an experienced and inspirational Teacher of MFL (Spanish Specialist). The successful candidate will have the knowledge and ability to teach Spanish up to KS4/5. The ability to teach French to KS3 level is also advantageous.

Responsibilities:
1. Deliver Engaging Lessons: Plan and deliver high-quality MFL lessons that engage pupils and help them develop key skills in the target language.
2. Assessment and Feedback: Conduct regular assessment of all four key skills (reading, listening, speaking, writing), maintaining accurate records of outcomes.
3. Classroom Management: Manage classroom behaviour effectively through the consistent use of the School's behaviour policy.
4. Wider School Responsibilities: Engage and actively participate in wider professional responsibilities such as lunchtime duty, parents evenings, and transition open evenings as required by the School.
Qualification Requirements:
1. Teaching Qualifications: A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent) with a focus on MFL is highly advantageous.
2. Subject Knowledge: A degree in Spanish, Hispanic Studies, Spanish & French, or a related field is essential.
3. Teaching Experience: Proven experience as a Secondary MFL teacher with a successful track record of student achievement is positive, but not essential. Strong ECTs will also be considered for this role.
4. Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with students, colleagues, and parents.
5. Commitment to Inclusion: A commitment to fostering an inclusive and diverse learning environment that caters to the needs of all students.
6. A DBS on the Update Service or Willingness to obtain.
