This is an exciting and challenging opportunity to join SSG’s Central Operations Team as a Project Support Officer. You will play a key role in managing project administration, ensuring accurate record-keeping, and coordinating various operational activities.
You will work closely with Project and Maintenance Managers to maintain detailed records on the CASH database while also supporting the day-to-day administration of SSG’s Central Operations. This role offers valuable experience and training in project management, providing a strong foundation for career growth.
Key Responsibilities
Project Administration & Reporting
Collate and report live project data, submitting it to the CASH platform.
Oversee the receipting of project stores.
Assist in project financial performance assessments and collate financial reports for clients and key account holders.
Work with the Finance and Commercial teams to resolve outstanding invoices and debt issues.
Team & Office Management
Line manage two administrative officers.
Oversee the onboarding and induction of new Central Operations/Administration employees.
Manage day-to-day operations in the SSG Central Operations Office.
Scheduling & Coordination
Plan and schedule training courses, toolbox talks (TBT), and external audits.
Coordinate travel and accommodation bookings for team members.
Support Key Account Managers with administrative tasks, client-specific reports, and management information.
Certification & Compliance
Assist with staff administration related to Technical Staff Certification and Accreditation, including the ECS Scheme and Project Management.
Ensure compliance with internal processes and external standards.
Ad Hoc Support
Provide general support to the Central Operations Team as needed.
Adapt to changing priorities and tasks in a fast-paced environment.
