Business Development Manager – Hazardous Waste
Salary: Circa £43-45K plus uncapped Bonus, Car or Allowance
LOCATION: Area role covering the North East
ROLE: Business Development Manager / Technical Sales Executive – Hazardous Waste
You will look to deliver profitable hazardous waste management services contracts and large one-off jobs in the surrounding area – Tankered Services, Drummed and Palletised Waste and work with the technical function to ensure material be handled through the business.
Your responsibilities will include:
1. Cold calling, lead generation, and following up on enquiries.
2. Maintaining a sales pipeline.
3. Delivering presentations and providing consultation with a solution-based pitch.
EXPERIENCE:
You will have experience delivering against targets in a similar new business role selling waste management or brokered waste services.
You will possess a reasonable technical understanding and be able to effectively communicate with a technical team. Exposure to hazardous waste is essential to understand the requirements of pre-acceptance.
You must be willing to commute regionally and spend 2 days a week at the depot. A UK driving licence is essential. Any chemistry-based qualifications are a plus, but the focus will be on sales skills.
