Finance and Controls Architect Finance and Controls Architect We are considering applicants in – London/Leeds/Dublin Style of work – Hybrid 2 days per week As part of the Flutter Tech Architecture team, the Finance and Controls Architect will serve as a leader with vision, engaging with senior business and technical leaders across the group to develop strategies, implement solutions and achieve business value from the technologies. You will work with all brands across the Flutter Group on their evolving journey, proposing ways that our tools, methods, investments, and resources could be used to accelerate the groups overall journey to achieve a more cohesive and collaborative global architecture. You must be effective at articulating the business opportunity from changes and how modern technology and methodologies reduce risk, operational burdens and ultimately achieve outcomes. You should be comfortable working with cross functional global teams in dynamic organisations, as the role will have interdependencies with various teams, including partners and our own engineering functions. You will have experience working within enterprise organisations on large scale migration/modernisation transformation projects. This will have involved a customer-focused and collaborative approach, coupled with a deep technical understanding to provide confidence and answer questions, an ability to engage and help crystallise business benefits, demonstrate a good understanding of centralised and connected solutions, and a passion for helping to transform using these types of technologies. Accountabilities: Development and delivery of an Enterprise world class Finance and Controls tool landscape including Accounting systems, procurement, contract management, payroll, audit, change management, risk assessment, intranet/internal comms tools and business intelligence reporting. Create strong relationships with other architects for integrated solutions. Provide technical knowledge and market insight of Finance solutions such as Coupa, Oracle Fusion, EPM and ERP modules, payroll applications, audit reporting tools Ensure that the architecture and solutions align with the organization’s strategic goals and objectives. In depth knowledge of: Coupa for a Source to Contract implementation (e.g. Supplier Management, Sourcing, Supply Chain) Oracle EPM Cloud modules such as Planning, Budgeting, Financial Consolidation, Account Reconciliation, and Enterprise Data Management plus ERP modules such as Financials, Procurement, and Supply Chain Management Oracle Fusion Centralise expertise for the risk management and audit tools supporting business process Collaborate with other teams to develop standards and policies Assist with testing strategy and management of UAT process Define transition solutions for data migration as required, ensuring data accuracy and integrity. Create diagrams clearly showing system connections/data flows, and maintain the Architecture Decision Records (ADR) and blueprints Develop suitable operational process and procedures, collaborating closely with Service Management and stakeholders to define appropriate SLA’s and KPI’s. Where necessary, remain ‘hands-on’ with the development and engineering of certain solutions to drive forward their implementations and testing. Work closely with vendors to understand the details of their roadmaps, gaining ‘outside-in’ state-of-the-art thinking, to develop a futureproof Flutter roadmap Maintain a commercial and cost-conscious approach, ensuring group opportunities are realised. Drive group engagement, developing and implementing best practice to create a secure architecture, aligning with security controls, compliance and standards. Key Skills: Experience of operating in a lead or senior technology role within a fast-paced online/eCommerce organisation. Demonstrable experience of leading at scale to successfully develop and deliver business change and strategic objectives. Extensive experience of stakeholder management, up to and including C-suite. Good experience of finance, procurement and other controls technologies, such as Oracle, Coupa, Ecovadis. Knowledge/Experience of okta, Workday and slack are an advantage. Competent in the field of business change, with an ability to inspire change across large organisations and ensure adoption of changes. Solid grasp of End-User Support, Service Management and Service Lifecycle frameworks. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
