Key Responsibilities:
* Evaluate and underwrite new and renewal P&C insurance policies within your authority.
* Analyse risks and provide tailored insurance solutions to meet client needs.
* Collaborate with brokers and clients to negotiate terms and secure business.
* Monitor and manage a portfolio of accounts, ensuring profitability and retention.
* Provide excellent customer service, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
* Stay updated on market trends, regulatory changes, and competitor activities.
* Support business development by identifying opportunities for growth.
* Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
Skills and Qualifications:
* Proven experience in property and casualty underwriting.
* Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
* Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
* Knowledge of P&C insurance products and market practices.
* Relevant professional qualifications, such as Cert CII or Dip CII, are desirable.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
