Our client provides comprehensive manufacturing solutions for robotic vehicles tailored to a variety of industries, including inspection and security. They provide Manufacturing Services, Specialise in Rapid Prototyping, Low to Mid Volume of Manufacturing, CNC Machining, 3D Printing, Lasercutting and many other services.
They have recently experienced significant growth, expanding into the subcontract manufacturing sector. They now proudly serve clients across diverse industries such as aerospace, oil & gas, inspection, and security.
Due to significant growth, we have a vacancy for a CNC Miller Programmer Setter/ Operator.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a CNC Programmer / Setter/ Operator. The role involves creating programs with Fusion360, setting up and operating 4 & 5 axis Haas CNC Mills ensuring the quality of machined parts, and interpreting technical drawings.
The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating computer numerically controlled (CNC) machines to produce high-quality precision parts according to customer specifications.
Qualifications
* Proficiency in setting up and operating CNC machines (Preferably HAAS)
* Ability to interpret technical drawings and work with precision tools
* Knowledge of machining processes and quality control procedures
* Experience using Fusion 360 & Solidworks for CAD and CAM
* Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
* Experience in a manufacturing environment
Key Responsibilities
* Creating programs from customer drawings with Fusion360
* Set up and operate Hass Mills to perform various machining operations on a range of materials, including steel, aluminium, and plastic.
* Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine machining operations and set-up requirements.
* Adjust machine settings and tool offsets as necessary to maintain product quality and consistency.
* Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments, such as micrometres and gauges, to ensure compliance with customer requirements.
* Maintain machine cleanliness, troubleshoot issues, and perform routine maintenance as necessary.
* Adhere to safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
