A brand new primary special needs (SEN) school based in Barking and Dagenham is seeking a Special Needs Teacher for an ASD/SLD Class, starting from September 2025.
Special Needs Teacher - Barking and Dagenham - Details:
* Teaching a mixed class, pupils with Autism and Severe Learning Difficulties.
* Pupils working at KS1 Levels of attainment - would suit a teacher with primary curriculum knowledge.
* Curriculum with a particular focus on developing social and communication skills.
* Work alongside two friendly and capable learning support assistants (LSAs).
* Utilize school facilities including sensory rooms and extensive outside areas.
* Sociable staff team (regular Friday drinks!).
Special Needs Teacher - Barking and Dagenham - The successful applicant:
The successful Special Needs Teacher will need to be:
* Flexible, with the ability to use their own initiative where required.
* Experienced working in an SEN school or with ASD and SLD children.
* Having the right to work in the UK.
* Holding a clear and up-to-date DBS.
* Possessing UK QTS or an overseas teaching qualification.
Ideally, the successful applicant will have a proven track record working in an SEN environment, but the Headteacher will consider a primary trained teacher with a passion for SEN, a proven track record as a teacher, and a can-do attitude.
