Job Title : Infrastructure Project Manager
Location : Hybrid (1-2 days per week in Warwick or Wokingham)
Contract : 6 months with potential for extension
Rate : £600/day (Umbrella)
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Project Manager to lead the migration of applications and installation of new infrastructure services across multiple data centers. This critical role will manage the end-to-end delivery, working closely with an Agile delivery team that includes third-party suppliers.
As the Project Manager, you will take ownership of infrastructure projects, ensuring seamless transitions between the company’s legacy data center and upgraded facilities. Your focus will be on coordinating infrastructure releases and working with the Service Transition team to bring them into production, while also tracking budgets, risks, and resources.
Key Responsibilities
• Data Center Migration : Lead and manage the migration of applications and implementation of new infrastructure across multiple data centers.
• Project Lifecycle Ownership : Oversee all aspects of the project lifecycle, from planning and coordination to execution and service transition.
• Stakeholder Management : Build and maintain effective relationships with internal teams and third-party suppliers to align project delivery with organisational objectives.
• RAID Management : Maintain logs for risks, actions, issues, and dependencies, providing regular status updates and reports.
• Financial Tracking : Manage project finances, including forecasting and tracking to ensure budget compliance.
• Process Improvement : Act as a change agent, identifying and implementing process improvements to add value and efficiency.
Qualifications and Skills
• Project Management Expertise : Proven experience delivering IT infrastructure projects, particularly within data center environments.
• Methodology Proficiency : Strong working knowledge of both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
• Stakeholder Communication : Exceptional communication skills with the ability to present to and engage with multiple stakeholders.
• Technical Understanding : Familiarity with infrastructure services, hardware, and network environments; experience with project scheduling tools like Microsoft Project or similar is highly desirable.
• Certifications : Industry certifications such as Prince2 or PMI are a plus.
