Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanic Supervisor to oversee our maintenance team and ensure the efficient operation of machinery and equipment. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and leadership abilities, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service. This role requires hands-on involvement in equipment repair, assembly, and maintenance while supervising a team of mechanics.
Responsibilities
1. Supervise and coordinate the activities of the maintenance team to ensure timely completion of repairs and maintenance tasks.
2. Utilise power tools and hand tools effectively for equipment repair and assembly.
3. Interpret schematics and technical drawings to guide repair processes.
4. Conduct regular inspections of machinery to identify potential issues and perform preventative maintenance.
5. Provide training and support to team members on best practices for mechanical repairs and safety protocols.
6. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inventory of tools and parts.
7. Foster a culture of safety within the team by ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Experience
1. Proven experience in a mechanical supervisory role or similar position is essential.
2. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in equipment repair, assembly, and maintenance.
3. Familiarity with welding techniques is advantageous.
4. Excellent customer service skills to effectively communicate with clients regarding their needs and expectations.
5. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also demonstrating leadership capabilities.
6. Competence in using various power tools, hand tools, and diagnostic equipment is required.
