We are looking for a highly organised and guest-focused Events Manager to join our team at Farncombe Estate, home to our three award-winning hotels – Dormy House, Foxhill Manor, and The Fish – as well as our luxurious Hillside Hangouts. This key role acts as the bridge between clients and our operational teams, ensuring seamless communication and outstanding event execution. Reporting initially to the Sales & Events Manager, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional guest experiences and creating memorable events. Key Responsibilities Client Liaison & Event Coordination: Act as the primary contact for clients, handling all aspects of their event from initial enquiry to post-event follow-up, ensuring a seamless and high-quality experience. Communication & Planning : Liaise with operational teams through the creation of detailed function sheets, ensuring all guest requests and event specifications are accurately communicated and executed. Guest Experience: Exceed client expectations by delivering exceptional guest service, ensuring that every guest feels special and is encouraged to return. Stakeholder Collaboration: Maintain strong relationships with Sales & Marketing, Hotel Management, and Hotel Operations Teams, leveraging these connections to deliver innovative and unforgettable experiences. Sales & Revenue Support: Actively promote and sell the Estate's facilities, up-selling where possible to maximise revenue. Assist in compiling reports on business on the books, upcoming gaps in the diary, and conversion rates. Marketing & Promotion: Work closely with the Marketing team to assist in executing promotional campaigns and hosting client visits and tours, occasionally outside of normal working hours. Event Logistics & Administration: Ensure all event-related correspondence, paperwork, and records are accurately maintained, in compliance with company standards and GDPR. You should be thorough, organised, and able to handle demanding clients, with excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving. You will also: Consistently deliver excellent guest service, maintaining a professional and respectful work culture. Assist managers and teams in effectively operating the business, ensuring guests' expectations are exceeded. Be efficient, professional, and friendly at all times, demonstrating behaviours in line with Farncombe values. Attend work consistently well-dressed and groomed, and where required, in clean and smart uniform. Comply with all relevant Company policies and any reasonable requests made by management. Ensure that all facilities and equipment within your department are maintained to the highest standards.
