A little about myself:
I am a mature, middle-aged gentleman who uses an electric wheelchair due to having cerebral palsy, and I’m seeking to maintain living independently in my own house with the help of a personal assistant.
I primarily need assistance with tasks such as getting in and out of the shower, dressing, and preparing breakfast and lunch/tea.
This role doesn't involve manual lifting but minimal physical support, like steadying me by holding my arm when transferring from my wheelchair to my shower chair or into the car.
Additionally, I would need help shopping for food, which would involve having someone accompany me to the supermarket by car.
My electric wheelchair folds and can easily be fitted into a car boot. I can transfer from my wheelchair to the car easily with a bit of support, such as gently holding my arm if required.
In my spare time, I enjoy watching most sports. I attend football and rugby matches, such as Swansea City and the Ospreys whenever possible. I also enjoy watching Wales rugby on TV, dramas, and soaps.

I would require 14 hours of personal care support and 6 hours of social care support.
I am flexible about splitting the hours by having two PAs who could cover each other during holidays.
Rate of pay.
£12.75 for an employed pa.
Essential:
I require:
• 2 hours daily to support with practical tasks
• A one-hour visit in the morning to help with getting in and out of the shower (no washing required), dressing (especially socks and buttons), making meals (breakfast in the mornings), and medication. I manage my meds; it’s only taking them out of packaging. Please note that no manual lifting is involved.
• Making lunch and the same at tea-time/early evening. Probably 30 minutes for each visit. We can discuss this further at the interview.
• 6 hours weekly to accompany and provide support to do my food shopping. This would require you to put the food into the freezer and cupboards. I may want to do other social activities as and when needed, but this is flexible.
• I want to feel that we can both communicate in a friendly but professional manner.

I’d prefer if:
