Are you passionate about supporting students and fostering a positive environment where they can excel academically and personally? We have an exciting opportunity for a Student Support Advisor to join our Sixth Form team and make a real difference.
In this role, you will work closely with the Sixth Form Administrator, KS5 Careers Advisor, and Head of Year 12 & 13 to provide comprehensive support to students. Your main responsibility will be overseeing the study environment, ensuring it is conducive to learning, and providing timely pastoral support. You will be the first point of contact for students, staff, and parents regarding pastoral concerns, providing guidance to help students overcome barriers to progress.
You will maintain accurate records of attendance, punctuality, and academic performance, monitor trends, and address issues as they arise. Additionally, you will promote enrichment activities, higher education opportunities, and support students in their personal development. You will collaborate with the wider Sixth Form team and assist with administrative tasks to ensure smooth operations.
We are looking for someone with experience working with young people and a strong ability to support student wellbeing and behaviour management. You should have a good general education (including 5+ GCSEs at grade A*-C/9-4, including English), be well-organised, and able to use ICT effectively. Strong communication skills and a proactive, empathetic approach are essential.
