Jay City Finance is a well-respected vendor and direct corporate asset finance broker which operates across a broad range of assets and industries. We are looking to recruit an office-based Internal Client Sales Representative. The role reports directly to the Sales Director, in Kings Langley, Hertfordshire.
We are seeking a motivated and dynamic applicant to join our team. The successful candidate will have responsibility for calling and managing our live portfolio of client accounts to ensure that we maintain the strength of relationships already in place, by providing continued service levels, striving to build on future loyalty and to create new business opportunities.
This position requires excellent communication skills, both on the telephone and in person, and a strong understanding of finance products would be preferential. You will also work closely with the external sales team and our sales support team internally, to create and manage new business quotations to all our direct and vendor driven clients, ensuring a smooth transaction from lead generation to deal closure.
Salary c.£28K-£30K per annum Basic plus Commission, plus Annual GP target based year-end Bonus, plus Life Insurance and Healthcare benefits. Hours 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. OTE anticipated to be £65K.
As a Client Sales Representative within our Company, you'll be part of a dynamic and fast-paced team dedicated to delivering exceptional service to our partners and clients. Key Responsibilities:
1. Client Outreach:
o Contact existing clients to identify opportunities for new business.
o Build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
o Understand clients’ financial needs and propose suitable asset finance solutions with the support of the management team.
2. Lead Generation and Proposal Development:
o Take ownership of leads generated through client interactions.
o Prepare detailed finance proposals tailored to clients' requirements.
o Present finance proposals to clients, addressing any questions or concerns and negotiate pricing to close the sale.
o Manage referrals, requesting relevant additional information direct from the client and act as the first point of contact.
o Work with the external sales team to manage and suggest client quoting rates and initial conditions to the sales support team.
o Promote and be capable of selling the merits of asset finance leasing and negotiate on rate if required and/or refer to senior management to discuss and agree strategy.
3. Deal Placement and Management:
o Collaborate with lenders to place deals efficiently.
o Ensure all necessary documentation is collected and submitted accurately.
o Track the progress of deals and keep clients informed at every step.
4. Client Support and Relationship Management:
o Act as the primary point of contact for existing clients throughout the finance process.
o Provide exceptional customer service, addressing any issues that arise.
o Follow up with clients post-deal to ensure satisfaction and explore further opportunities.
5. Objectives & Measures:
o Hit personal and team volume, income and margin targets.
o Attend sales meetings where you will be required to review performance from the previous month & provide a forecast for the following month.
o Work closely with the sales support team internally, to ensure that all converted proposals are completed successfully.
o Prepared to challenge and bring forward ideas to improve the team and performance.
This office-based role will have continual contact with both existing and new customers. Therefore, the ability to build new and maintain existing relationships will be key to your success, as will the ability to demonstrate empathy and understanding whilst maintaining a clear focus on objectives.
Personal Specification - Skills and Experience:
* Previous experience in sales, finance, or client management is an advantage.
* An understanding of broker asset finance procedure, products and financial services is preferential.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships.
* Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
* Learner/growth mindset.
* Resilience and having the ability to handle rejection and bounce back from setbacks is essential in a high-pressure environment.
