Reed Accountancy is on the lookout for an Accounts Assistant to lead our client’s finance department and report directly to the Directors. What You’ll Do: Finance Department Management: Oversee the finance department, ensuring accurate financial processes across the organisation. Financial Reporting: Prepare year-end accounts, maintain personal account records, and liaise with accountants. Payroll and Compliance: Manage payroll, ensure compliance with pensions and PAYE, and handle payroll software tasks. Banking and Transactions: Manage bank statements, direct debits, standing orders, and handle payment runs and reconciliations. Training and Support: Train and assist staff in financial operations and software. What We’re Looking For: Financial Management and Accounting Expertise: Proven experience in accounting and maintaining detailed records. Organisational and Leadership Skills: Strong organisational abilities, leadership experience, and proficiency in managing and training staff.
