We are looking for an enthusiastic team player to join our wonderful team of Care Navigators, who are the face of our practice, the first people patients see when they enter the surgery. A friendly manner and good listening skills are essential, along with empathy towards patients' needs. Main Duties of the Job
Job Responsibilities:
Administration
1. To have a thorough knowledge of all Practice procedures.
2. To work in accordance with written protocols.
3. Filing post in medical records.
4. Receiving results/messages from the hospital and various sources.
Reception
1. Receiving patients consulting with members of the Practice team.
2. Handing completed repeat prescriptions to patients and checking names and addresses.
3. Be able to cover all reception positions as necessary.
Appointments
1. Process appointment requests for today and future appointments from patients by telephone and in person.
2. Deal with visit requests.
3. Dealing with general enquiries from patients.
Computer
1. Scanning all documentation onto the clinical system.
2. Process patients' change of address computer data and medical records (have knowledge of Practice area).
3. Process repeat prescription requests in accordance with Practice guidelines.
4. Entering any other relevant documentation onto the clinical system.
Telephone
1. Have working knowledge of the telephone system, during and after hours.
About Us
We are a GP practice with just over 5000 patients in the Beeston area, covering a large demographic that includes a high number of elderly and vulnerable patients.
Our staff consists of a Sole Partner, 3 salaried GPs, a Practice Manager, an ANP, 2 Practice Nurses, 2 HCAs, a clinical in-house pharmacist, a Reception Manager, and an Admin team.
Job Summary:
Receive, assist, and direct patients in accessing the appropriate service or healthcare professional in a courteous, efficient, and effective way. Provide general assistance to the Practice team and project a positive and friendly image to patients and other visitors, either in person or via the telephone.
Person Specification
Experience
Essential:
1. Experience of computer skills is essential.
Desirable:
1. Experience in working within General Practice is preferred but not essential.
