We currently have an excellent opportunity for a Purchasing Manager to join our head office, Cowick Hall in East Yorkshire. In this role, you will act as a business partner to project and steering teams to ensure the relevant process are being followed and that Croda is getting value for money in its external purchases. This includes ensuring a strategic sourcing approach to supplier engagement, facilitation of project bids, negotiation of pricing, contract execution, risk mitigation, and supplier management activities for indirect projects in Europe. You will engage with projects during pre-NPI scoping to understand the projects needs and to help shape the appropriate procurement strategies. You will also be responsible for coaching other members of the Purchasing team.

* Proven negotiation skills

* Track record of delivering results
* The ability to identify new sources of supply
Desirables:
* Experience of purchasing chemicals
* Experience working with crop growing contracts
* SAP user experience (inc Ariba)
* CIPS Qualified
* Educated to degree level
* Understanding of EU/UK REACh regulations
* Experience of departmental and/or line management
* Business Process Improvement experience
