Our Vision
At Wolverley, we believe that everyone is unique. We enable everyone to experience ‘life in all its fullness’ through living out our core biblical values. We are passionate about developing well-rounded individuals by striving for excellence in everything that we do, so that all are inspired and empowered to fulfil their ‘ambition unlimited’.
This was echoed in our November 2021 Ofsted Inspection which noted that “The school’s ethos of ‘ambition unlimited’ is reflected in all aspects of school life. Teachers have high expectations. They expect pupils to try hard and behave respectfully. Pupils consistently meet these expectations” (Ofsted 2021).
Similarly, our May SIAMS inspection noted how “Leaders, including governors, hold the school community that they serve at the heart of everything. Empowered by the relevance of the Christian vision, they make courageous decisions that daily benefit adults and pupils” (SIAMS, 2024). Additionally, our Step-Up provision, which supports learners across a wide range of special educational need and disabilities, validates our “…intention to enable ‘life in all its fullness’ (John 10:10) and the pursuit of ‘ambition unlimited’ shapes learning and experiences” (SIAMS 2024). Wolverley Church of England Secondary School is a unique school with 968 students currently on roll, including an exciting, growing Sixth Form.
The Governors are now seeking to appoint a dedicated, visionary Headteacher to lead the school through its next stages of development. We are therefore seeking a highly reflective, inspirational leader with extensive leadership skills, who can demonstrate the commitment to build on the school’s many successes. Although you will need to share out Christian values and moral purpose, you will not necessarily be a practising Anglican.
