Job summary
We are recruiting for a Junior Resuscitation Practitioner who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.
We have an exciting development opportunity to join the Resuscitation Service for a secondment period, in the role of a Junior Resuscitation Practitioner. You will work as part of the team supporting the resuscitation improvement strategy for the Trust, helping ensure that the service is able to develop to fulfil the needs of East and North Herts NHS Trust staff and maintain a safe environment for patients.
You will work across the Trust, ensuring effective and safe delivery of care for patients, particularly in partnerships with teams such as critical care outreach and sepsis team with a drive to prevent patient deterioration.
Working closely with the Non-Medical Education team and Medical Education team to deliver training to all clinical staff employed by the Trust and will support continued improvement in providing education across the Trust.

Main duties of the job
You will work with the other team members to ensure the standardisation and development of the service, ensuring that the service is able to grow to fulfil the needs of East and North Herts NHS Trust staff.
Participate in the planning, delivery, organisation and evaluation of training programmes delivered by the department.
Manage day-to-day operation of the resuscitation service delivery with other members of the team.
Provide training for the general public in both adult and paediatric life support when required
Respond to 2222 calls for deteriorating patients and cardiac arrests, supported by Senior Resuscitation Practitioner

5. Professional clinical qualification. RN, ODP or Paramedic (NMC or HCPC).
6. Relevant post basic qualification ENB 100/998/124.
7. RCUK ALS or EPALS provider Certificate
8. Generic Instructor Course Qualification (Resuscitation Council [UK]) or nomination of GIC instructor potential (within 4 years)
9. ALS or EPALS Instructor/ Instructor candidate/Instructor potential
10. Willingness to study and achieve further RCUK provider/instructor course certificates.
