Job Description:
We are looking for a compassionate and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team on a part-time basis in Preston. The role involves working Monday to Friday mornings only, providing crucial support to students with special educational needs (SEN). Key Responsibilities:
* Support students with SEN in the classroom during morning lessons.
* Provide 1:1 or small group assistance, helping children to engage with the curriculum and make progress.
* Assist the class teacher in creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
* Implement and follow individual education plans (IEPs) and monitor student progress.
* Help manage behavior and encourage positive social and emotional development.
Requirements:
* Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, ideally within an SEN setting.
* Patience, empathy, and the ability to build positive relationships with students.
* A relevant qualification in supporting teaching and learning is desirable.
* Strong communication skills and a team-player attitude.
* Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
