Job summary Exciting opportunity to join Russell ward for a year has come up, The ward consists of 16 beds and is led by an approachable Ward Manager supported by two Ward Sisters. The ward is Dementia friendly with one Consultants specialising in different aspects of care for frail and elderly with complex discharges. The care delivered is of a very high standard and the whole team works closely to ensure all patient experience is positive. The ward has received two gold Accreditations in the past years demonstrating 100% on safeguarding standards, patient safety, person-centred care, elimination, pain management and End of life care. Main duties of the job The post holder will be responsible for supporting the sister/charge nurse on the ward in the management and delivery of patient centred care to patients admitted to the unit. The role incorporates assessing needs, developing, implementing and evaluating programmes of care, supporting and facilitating appropriate rehabilitation opportunities, safe discharges and promoting patient independence.
