Your Role
Reporting to the First Line Manager and Shift Manager, this exciting Team Leader position offers you the opportunity to take charge of the daily operations and performance of a team of Warehouse Operatives and Administrators at our Telford branch. With a Monday to Friday schedule from 8am to 4pm, this role not only offers excellent work-life balance but also gives you the chance to showcase your leadership talents in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.You'll have the authority and resources to lead your team within established policies, processes, and procedures, while receiving support and guidance from senior management.As a customer-focused role, each day will bring new challenges and opportunities for you to apply your problem-solving skills, ensuring that customer expectations are not only met but exceeded. Your Responsibilities
* Responsible for effective Management of Team andfunctional operating area(s) as required.
* Undertake absence and discipline Management activities as required.
* Undertake effective Resource Utilisation, Planning and Management activities as required including planning the daily workload and ensuring that time and attendance matters are managed.
* Conduct team briefs, manageStaff Training and Competency to ensure achievement of all requirements,including identifying gaps in training and additional/new training requirements.
* Undertake Near Miss and Safety Concern Reportingand Progression.
* Manage and develop the team through the completion of Performance Plans and Reviews.
Your Skills and Experiences
* Ideally you will hold experience within warehouse team management along with a core knowledge of warehouse management systems.
* Knowledge and understanding of warehouse practices e.g. picking, loading, specialist handling of calibration / shelf life products.
* Knowledge of Health & Safety at work.
* Experience of working to agreed targets and providing team briefing meetings.
* Preferred experience (not essential) of JDA/ Red Prairie systems
* Intermediate PC Skills: Excel, Word, Outlook
* Leadership qualities including the ability to enthuse and motivate couple with a drive, determination and a track record in delivering continuous improvement
* Analytical and problem solving skills
