Responsibilities Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging maths lessons in accordance with the school's curriculum and individual student needs Assess and monitor students' progress, identifying areas for improvement and providing timely feedback and support Create a positive and inclusive learning environment, fostering a love of maths and promoting student engagement Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies and resources Maintain accurate records of student attendance, achievements, and behaviour, ensuring data is up-to-date and accessible to relevant parties Communicate regularly with parents/guardians, providing updates on student progress and addressing any concerns or queries Participate in professional development opportunities, staying up-to-date with the latest teaching techniques and trends Requirements Bachelor's degree in Maths or related field Teaching certification or licensure (PGCE, QTS, etc.) Proven experience in teaching Maths at the primary or secondary level Strong knowledge and understanding of the national curriculum and relevant assessment strategies Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues Dedication to professional development and a commitment to ongoing learning Strong organizational and time-management abilities, with the capacity to effectively plan and manage multiple tasks A passion for education and a genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of young learners Company Information Wayman Education is a specialist recruitment agency with over 20 years experience within the education field.
