ROLE PURPOSE FOR THIS DELIVERY MANAGER ROLE:
Responsible for the delivery of a portfolio of multi-disciplined projects to achieve quality, financial and delivery requirements within the DB ESG Consultancy revenue stream to result in high levels of customer satisfaction. This is through the co-ordination of technical resources in conjunction with the relevant Team Managers, to enable successful project delivery.
ACCOUNTABILITIES FOR THIS DELIVERY MANAGER ROLE:
* Responsible for ensuring delivery of bids and consultancy projects on time and on budget, placing DB ESG in the position of preferred supplier to existing customers and open opportunities with new customers.
* Develop effective commercial relationships with existing and new customers and supply chain partners including being a key point of contact for Consultancy customer enquiries as required (in conjunction with Business Development team).
* Responsible for application of a rigorous approach to estimating during the bidding process resulting in accurate and achievable project budgets and high quality competitive bids.
* Support a culture of teamwork the DB ESG delivery functions, ensuring efficient and effective communication with other areas of DB ESG for the successful completion of bids and projects.
* Responsible for supporting the definition of project scope and managing the delivery of milestones to time, cost and quality.
* Responsible for reporting project progress through the use of business management tools (Business Central) to provide live visualisation of project status and performance.
* Provide advice and guidance on the use of business management tools and delivery management processes and principles to the business.
* Work in conjunction with the Team Managers to allocate bid and project tasks to individual resources (Resource and Capacity planning).
* The maintenance and upkeep of business forecasting for the Consultancy function, including sales and direct costs.
* Request customer feedback, populate on the system and log as required to ensure it is available to the wider business.
* As required point of contact for Consultancy enquiries.
* Customer liaison on live projects and in conjunction with the Business Development team for new opportunities/bids.
* Management of consultancy bid production to ensure quality, on-time delivery and visualisation.
* As required compilation of bids/proposals.
PERFORMANCE TARGETS FOR THIS DELIVERY MANAGER ROLE:
* In conjunction with the Team Managers ensure effective utilisation of resources with the most appropriate skill levels and experience to meet the bid and project requirements.
* Ensure all bids and project milestones within the DB ESG Consultancy project portfolio are effectively planned and managed using project management processes and the Business Central system.
* Deliver budgeted profitability and performance of projects within allocated portfolio by ensuring actual costs remain within budget for customer and internal projects.
* Contribute to achieving forecasted sales by ensuring on-time delivery of projects and tenders where delivery requirements fall within allocated portfolio.
* Responsible for the identification of bid and project resource requirements to achieve project delivery on time, to quality and budget.
* Ensure that project management knowledge and skills are developed and maintained as 'best in class'.
* Ensure projects are structured such that data can be analysed at an appropriate level for review, control and input into the lessons learnt process to guide future business.
* Maintain high levels of customer service to nurture existing relationships with clients in order to deliver sales through follow on business and create relationships with new clients to deliver new business.
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
* Proven record of building effective relationships with customers and suppliers.
* High level of written and verbal communication skills.
* Experience of directly leading teams of resources in delivering bids and projects.
* Experience of financial project reporting.
