M&C Saatchi World Services are looking for a globally oriented, detail focused HR Manager. This is a newly created role that will report into the Senior People Partner whilst working on a day-to-day basis with the agency’s wider Ops and Finance team and Group People team.
This is a full-time role, based in London on a hybrid working basis, with a minimum of 2-3 days in the office a week.
About The Role
This is a hybrid role, where the HR Manager will support the Senior People Partner to shape and deliver the agency’s people and culture plan whilst leading and managing all aspects of day-to-day HR operations for World Services.
In this varied and multifaceted role, the HR Manager will be responsible for proactively advising on best practice in people management and being the first point of contact for day-to-day HR operations and matters across all of our teams and offices, which include USA, Australia, Singapore, Europe and Dubai. This will include playing a role in all key areas of HRM from recruitment, onboarding and retention, compensation, benefits & reward, to L&D, communications, performance management and employee relations. This postholder will have additional support in each region so this role will also be required to work closely with colleagues who manage some aspect of HR or people ops in each region.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
HR Operations
* Talent Acquisition - To support the TA team with recruitment activity and proactive outreach campaigns as appropriate. This will not usually include management of the TA process itself, but contributing to the peripheral aspects of hiring, assisting with best practice in interviews etc and supporting any specific TA projects etc.
* Onboarding - To manage/oversee (will vary depending on region) the process of orientation and induction of new starters. This will include preparation of all starting documentation (contracts, letters, references, right to work etc), delivering HR induction and general management of integration until completion of the 3-month review to seamlessly bring on board new joiners, ensure they are set up for success and have an exceptional first experience of WS.
* Three Month Reviews/Probation - To manage/oversee (depending on region) the process for 3-month reviews including logistics, supporting feedback and preparation of all subsequent documentation. This will also include managing/supporting (depending on region) any aspects of under-performance in the first three months and exit processes where required.
* Global Employment & Mobility – To work with our third-party vendors to enable employment of talent outside of the UK and transfers of UK talent into countries without a M&C Saatchi office. This will include, supporting managers and individuals in all aspects of relocation, visas and remuneration ensuring a seamless, compliant experience.
* Immigration & Sponsorship - To ensure full compliance across Right to Work documentation for all employees and contractors, sponsorship license and visas. Keeping an up-to-date tracker of all visas, you will ensure early notification of any expirations or changes. You will also be required to keep abreast of any changes to UK immigration law and embed within our processes as well as upskilling and educating managers and employees on immigration rules where required.
* HRIS – To maintain our HRIS ensuring that all data held is accurate and up to date. You will also be the systems’ super user able to act as the go-to person for questions and queries.
* Benefits – To ensure all eligible employees are registered for relevant benefits and there is good employee awareness around benefits Globally. You may also be required to support routine benefits review projects to refine our offer and make recommendations that enhance our Employer Value Proposition.
* Family Support/Other policy – To manage/support (depending on region) all aspects of family support including maternity, second carer support etc. You will also be required to manage all other policy aspects of working at WS.
* Payroll – To manage/support (depending on region) all aspects of monthly payroll submission. This will also include being part of a 2025 payroll review project to bring our functions and payroll ops together.
* Exit/Off Boarding – To manage/support (depending on region) the leaver process, including managing exit surveys and interviews where required, all associated admin and ensuring that all employees leave the business as advocates.
Manager and Employee Support
* To support managers in leading their teams acting as the first point of contact for all employee and manager queries. This will include leading on all employee relations matters and escalating more complex issues where required. This will also include upskilling managers in new and better ways of working, as well as developing guides and toolkits.
* To ensure that all company policies and procedures are up to date in line with current and regional employment law. This will include providing updates as appropriate.
* To champion diversity across the agency. This may include leading projects in this area.
Learning and Development
* To support the Senior People Partner in the development and implementation of the annual training and development agenda; strategic direction, producing an annual training ‘menu’, assisting managers with PDP’s and objective setting and identifying areas across the business/for individuals where there are gaps/areas that need improvement.
* To manage all WS L&D suppliers maintaining contractual arrangements as appropriate and overall logistics for managing and running training sessions. This will also include working with Group provided L&D suppliers and managing Group and WS L&D programmes seamlessly.
* To manage all L&D data and records.
Performance Management
* To work closely with managers to assist them in ensuring high performance working within their teams. This will include coaching and providing guidance to managers on giving feedback, objective setting and PDP’s. This will also include support for managing poor performance, if necessary.
* To oversee the completion of appraisals ensuring that all staff receive a robust and rewarding discussion on their performance. This will include all collation/processing of documentation as required.
* To annually review staff job descriptions and competency frameworks, ensuring that they are consistently relevant and fit for purpose, providing recommendations/changes as appropriate.
Planning and Strategic
* To support the Senior People Partner in developing the strategic direction for the business, this may include contributing to the annual people strategy and/or supporting with updates on progress.
* To support the Senior People Partner in long-term business resourcing including workforce, succession and talent planning.
* To support the Senior People Partner in conducting regular benchmarking exercises, regularly reviewing WS’ positioning within the industry. This may include assisting with providing recommendations for reform, change or development, as appropriate.
* To own the regular creation of insightful, accurate and up-to-date HR management reports that support business and HR decision making and work with the central People team to provide data required for Group reporting. You may also be required to support with Gender Pay Gap reporting and other required reporting.
* To lead compensation and benefits reviews, providing recommendations on changes to staff rewards and company benefits as appropriate. This will also include overseeing the selection of relevant suppliers and maintaining contractual arrangements etc as appropriate.
* To play an instrumental role in the shaping of organisational culture and associated activities, acting as a champion for business values and ensuring that all business strategies reflect these in their DNA.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
* A strong foundation in human resources management and business practices, gained through either a relevant bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a professional HR environment.
* Demonstrated experience in a HR role.
* Fluent level of English, both spoken and written.
* Excellent working knowledge of UK employment regulations, other WS regions is a plus.
* Excellent understanding of HR practices.
* Good understanding and technical abilities within all HR departmental areas including recruitment, employee relations, workforce administration, employee engagement, payroll, reward and recognition, welfare, learning and development and HR systems.
