Junior CAD Technician
Supported by colleagues in the Highways Design Team, the Junior CAD Technician will assist with the production of highway designs, including calculations, drawings, and specifications to relevant local and national highway standards. The successful candidate will assist with the implementation of a range of highway schemes through the feasibility, design, and construction stages.
Responsibilities include preparing designs and drawings, liaising with utility providers and other service provider companies, and obtaining technical approvals from the Local Highway Authority. Projects may include highway improvement schemes, new roads, streetscape improvement and designing new infrastructure projects. Candidates should possess experience in designing projects within a consultancy environment, including meeting deadlines and targets, as well as demonstrating strong verbal and written communication skills and teamwork abilities.
Responsibilities of a Junior CAD Technician:
Develop collaborative relationships with stakeholders, external providers, and other agencies.
Assist senior members with monthly programme and financial reporting tasks.
Ensure completion of assigned tasks is within budget and programme guidelines.
Prepare reports, drawings, schedules, cost estimates, and other documents.
Design and implement highway design solutions for clients in the private and public sectors.
