We are seeking to recruit an experienced Architectural Technician to join our busy team in Manchester.

We currently have a vacancy for an Architectural Technologist within our Manchester Office; the successful applicant will work closely within an experienced Architectural Team with colleagues in Technical Services supporting Clients on a wide variety of projects in a range of sectors. Graham + Sibbald have 21 offices, and over 270 staff, across the UK and this role provides a unique opportunity for the successful candidates to work on projects across the country.
The Role
The role will be centred on BIM Methodologies and working practice to prepare detailed design drawings, 3D modelling, technical reports, Design co-ordination and advising colleagues.

Skills + Experience
Experience of working within a Surveying or Architectural practice and have the proven ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Candidates should be able to meet the following criteria which should be evidenced through the Portfolio:
* Demonstrate an understanding of BIM processes
* Excellent Skills in AutoCAD
* Good knowledge of Autodesk Revit
* Demonstrate a minimum of 5 years Job running experience and understanding of Contract Administration responsibilities
* Excellent visual communication skills using a variety of industry standard media
* Possess the ability to communicate verbally in a clear manner
* Demonstrate excellent people skills to work well within the dynamics of the Design Team and external clients and consultants
* Excellent knowledge of modern construction techniques
* Membership of CIAT will be considered preferable
* Retrofit experience will be considered an advantage but is not essential
Role Requirements
Relevant degree and professional membership (ACIAT/ TCIAT).
Ability to maintain up to date knowledge of the current property market and economy, the Firm’s products, services and processes to deliver excellent client care.
