FIELD SERVICE ENGINEER
A well established and thriving global technology leader has a rare opportunity for a Field Service Engineer to join their highly qualified service team based out of and servicing clients within The Midlands..
In return for working a Monday to Friday, contracted 40 hour week plus regular overtime, an attractive salary of up to £37K is offered plus fully expensed and equipped company Van, Phone, Laptop, PPE, unform, training, contributory pension scheme, Life assurance, Direct Benefit Access, Longevity in Service Award, 25 days Holiday, Birthday and UK Bank Holidays
Working hours include 1 night rota in every 8 weeks, 1 callout rota in every 5 weeks and weekend overtime available.
Day Shift typical start/finish times (door to door) 05:00 – 14:30
On call Engineer on standby 24/7. Overtime if called out past contracted hours.
Night Shift
Typical start/finish times (door to door) 21:00 – 04:30
The Field Service Engineer ideally will be experienced within a similar role and hold an electrical qualification Level 3 or above (or equivalent). Knowledge and understanding of basic control systems and PLC’s would be advantageous.

Job Description
The Field Service Engineer role will join an established team and be responsible for:
Main duties/key tasks/key result areas
* Preventative and planned maintenance of Kitchen Ventilation Systems.
* Attending breakdowns of non-trading sites.
* Fault finding and repair on equipment, including controls.
* Detailed reporting on remedial work to existing systems, to ensure compliance
* Carrying our commissioning activities to deliver projects
* Willingness to work flexible hours including a call-out rota – Overtime Available
* Maintain personal technical skills to a high level.
* Writing of technical reports using the CRM system - Salesforce Field Service and customer portals.
* Engaging with the Service office team reporting accurate information to ensure first class customer service.
* Upkeep of company vans ensuring they are kept clean, tidy, and well stocked for spare parts.
* Attending Engineering meetings as and when required.
* Supervising and guiding trainee service engineers.
Candidate Profile
The successful candidate will have energy, passion and must share our Company values. They must have a positive outlook and a clear focus on high quality and customer care. They will demonstrate superior listening skills to effectively ascertain customer requirements and/or system problems and deficiencies. They will be able to follow instructions and work cooperatively with the service team in order to complete tasks independently and efficiently whilst upholding high customer satisfaction levels at all times.
Experience/Qualifications
* Previous experience as a field engineer or similar.
* Well versed in technical aspects of field projects on machinery and equipment.
* Understanding of Health & Safety guidelines.
* Attention to detail.
* Good knowledge and understanding of basic control system. PLC’s.
* Electrical qualifications, NVQ L3 equivalent or higher
* Analytical mind and strong problem-solving ability.
* Goal oriented, self-directed, and self-motivated.
* Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
* Must demonstrate a willingness to learn, have a desire to improve on a daily basis.
* Full driving licence.
