Located in Hampshire, Austen House is transforming to meet critical needs as a mixed 7-bed PICU and low secure adolescent unit. You will work alongside a collaborative multi-disciplinary team, offering expert assessment, diagnosis, and care for adolescents with complex psychiatric needs. With 6 Programmed Activities (PAs) per week, this role provides a balanced focus on direct clinical care and professional development. Key responsibilities include: Conducting detailed psychiatric assessments, formulating personalised treatment plans, and providing ongoing care for a small caseload. Acting as the Responsible Clinician, leading clinical decision-making, and managing Mental Health Act responsibilities. Supervising and supporting a multi-disciplinary team, promoting best practices and evidence-based care. Engaging in quality improvement initiatives, clinical governance, and CPD to enhance service outcomes. Contributing to service development, providing input on patient pathways and staff training. This role is ideal for consultants with strong leadership and communication skills, committed to recovery-focused, holistic mental health care.
