Brightwork have an excellent opportunity for a Quality Control Technician to join our manufacturing client at their site in North Lanarkshire on a temporary ongoing basis, with immediate start.
Your Time at Work
Duties will include:
1. Overseeing, recording and reporting all quality aspects in relation to all Operational functions.
2. Carrying out all bottling line checks including:
1. Spirit strength
2. Fill height checks
3. Turbidity
4. Colour
5. Packaging quality and application
6. Coding
7. Materials
8. Operator checks
9. Organoleptic checks
3. Providing support and cover for all aspects of the Laboratory & QC functions.
4. Raising NCRs and quarantining stock when required.
5. Supporting and being fully involved with organoleptic sampling & testing.
6. Providing laboratory support for bulk spirit departments.
7. Monitoring product water quality, ensuring compliance with required standards.
8. Maintaining high laboratory and analytical standards to the equivalent of Good Laboratory Practice.
9. Carrying out random cased stock checks in warehouse.

1. Extensive knowledge and experience of working within a spirits industry laboratory environment.
2. Experience of checking and maintaining bottling quality.
3. Great attention to detail.
4. Excellent problem solving skills and the ability to work on your own initiative.
5. The ability to work as part of a team, ensuring all work is carried out to a high standard and in line with the company requirements.
Key Information and Benefits
Hours of work -
Monday to Thursday 0745-1645, Friday 0745-1400.
There will a requirement to work the occasional backshift Monday to Thursday 1430-2300.
