The Role: CASS Assistant Manager (IBA) The role of CASS Assistant Manager is an exciting opportunity to build and expand on current Group policies and process, ensuring the Group remains compliant with CASS FCA regulations. Reporting into the Head of IBA Audit and Controls the successful candidate will manage the IBA Controls team and work closely with other stakeholders to add value across the Group. Responsibilities: Act as the conduit for CASS and statutory audits, agreeing deadlines, ensuring deliverables meet requirements and managing queries to resolution. Identify and log CASS breaches, identifying root causes and working with colleagues to resolve and prevent future occurrences. Responsible for timely, effective controls & reconciliations as per the FCA requirements across various Group bank accounts including client money calculations and bank reconciliations. Provide timely MI and insightful commentary to assist the Head of IBA Audit & Controls to identify control weaknesses and improve business performance using Power BI. Ensure a definitive understanding of unidentified cash and bad debt, working closely with stakeholders to forecast and reduce balances in accordance with agreed timelines. Work with the business and IBA Team to maximise cashflow by identifying areas and processes for improvement and building rolling forecasts. Managing a team of 4 in the IBA Controls Team providing effective feedback and training and development opportunities to new and existing team members. Build relationships across the organisation and effectively communicate with various key stakeholders. Provide support for the transition of new business into the Group and eventual integration into the team as required. Required Experience and Skills: Qualified / part qualified accountant ACCA / ACA or equivalent Experience of managing teams including performance management & training and development Working knowledge of broking systems including Acturis, Websure, SSP, Epic and TAM. Clear understanding of FCA CASS regulation, preferably with experience of CASS audits. Familiar with mainstream bank providers and multi-currency operations. Excellent written and verbal communication. Advanced level in MS Office suit especially with MS Excel. A self-starter who can challenge existing processes with the intention of enhancing key business areas. Deliver required tasks accurately and on time whilst working under pressure. Have a positive ‘can do attitude’ with natural problem-solving abilities that are accompanied with a high level of attention to detail.
