A day in the life of…
As The hotel maintenance assistant you'll be responsible for ensuring the hotel's facilities, equipment, and grounds are well-maintained and in good working order. The role involves responding to maintenance requests, performing routine maintenance tasks, troubleshooting and repairing equipment, coordinating with vendors and contractors, and ensuring the hotel's facilities are clean, safe, and well-maintained for guests and employee
This role is unlike any other in our hotel and you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring that guests have a first class enjoyable and comfortable stay.
What do we need from you?
* Basic knowledge of maintenance and repair techniques: You will have a basic understanding of maintenance and repair techniques for plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and other equipment commonly found in hotels.
* Communication and customer service skills: The role requires interacting with guests and colleagues, so strong communication and customer service skills are essential.
* Attention to detail: You’ll need an eye for detail to be able to identify potential maintenance issues before they turn into bigger problems.
* Time management: You’ll need to be able to effectively manage your time to prioritise key hotel projects
* Technical skills: Basic knowledge of computer systems, software programs and digital tools such as maintenance management software and online scheduling tools would be highly advantageous to allow you to track work orders, manage inventory, and communicate with other departments.
