The role – what’s involved?
We are looking for a passionate and skilled individual to join our Geoservices Team. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your expertise while being part of an organisation that can provide access to some of the most fascinating sites in the UK. In this role, you’ll have the chance to lead and inspire teams working on a range of large-scale, significant infrastructure projects. Your ability to communicate effectively and build strong, positive relationships will help drive your team to achieve the highest standards.
Your dedication to health, safety and wellbeing will be essential in ensuring safe working practices. Beyond managing and supervising surveys, you’ll play a key role in fostering successful communication with colleagues and stakeholders. With strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise effectively, you’ll be confident preparing and checking survey data and reports, contributing to the success of our projects.
Main responsibilities will include:
* To be responsible for the delivery and management of a comprehensive range of geophysical surveys (gradiometer, resistivity, GPR, EM, ERT) across the UK.
* To aid in design and set up of surveys.
* To prepare, check, edit, collate, and process digital data.
* To interpret the geophysical data and produce an informed and considered technical report based upon the results.
* Quality control of data from sites as well as the interpretation and reports of peers.
* To ensure the preparation of client reports is carried out in accordance with relevant legislation, planning policy, and current national guidance.
* Educated to at least degree level in an appropriate subject or to hold demonstrable experience to an equivalent level and ideally a post-graduate qualification in Geophysics or a related discipline.
* Experience processing, interpreting, and reporting on geophysical data.
* A comprehensive understanding of all aspects of health & safety associated with fieldwork.
* Excellent attention to detail.
* Experience of providing quality assurance and editing of project deliverables.
* Technically astute and have experience in tendering, design, planning, management, and delivery of projects.
* Have membership of an appropriate accredited professional body and have a full UK Driving Licence.
