You will be responsible for delivering a reactive and PPM programme of works to the client on a day-to-day basis. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an electrical engineer to work on a new build Cadent location. The successful post-holder will be responsible for providing electrical installations, repairs, maintenance, and assistance on all associated electrical equipment to a range of customers and clients.
More about the role:
Primary duties will include:
1. Perform a range of maintenance work, including fire alarm testing, lamp replacement, lens cleaning, water flushing, lock maintenance, and minor carpentry works.
2. Carry out repairs, refurbishment, and decoration to internal and external building fabric.
3. Interpret and work from instructions, drawings, and specifications appropriate to their original trade without supervision.
4. Remove damaged or broken glass and reinstate new.
5. Be able to carry out ceramic wall tile repair and replacement.
6. Remove all fixed fixtures and fittings prior to decoration and refix on completion.
7. Understand fully the inter-relationship between the various maintenance trades and the wider Facilities Team.
8. Will be required to carry duties on toilets, drainage, tiling, and sinks.
9. May be required to work overtime as and when required. Whilst there is no overtime on a regular basis, circumstances may require overtime being carried out at short notice.
Who you are:
1. Building strong relationships with customers and suppliers.
2. Work closely with our regional engineers as well as the rest of the Central engineering team.
3. Identify variations and recommendations.
4. Provide weekly progress reports on all projects to the Technical Services Manager.
5. Formulate operations and maintenance manuals with our in-house engineers.
6. Maintain up-to-date Health and Safety certificates and training.
Minimum Qualifications:
1. BTEC/HNC or City & Guilds Craft certificate or equivalent (NVQ3).
2. City and Guilds Engineering.
3. Minimum 3 years relevant trade experience.
4. Good knowledge of H&S legislation.
5. Experience of Building Maintenance and systems.
