Associate Practitioner Band 4
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the UHNM Pathology Laboratory for Associate Practitioners (AP) working within the Virology Laboratories.
Successful candidate will be required to participate in weekend and bank holiday rota's.
This role will primarily be supporting the rapid provision of the Covid-19 and respiratory virus testing service for the North Midlands and Cheshire Pathology Service.
Please note: There is a requirement within this role to take part in 24 hour working rosters, including late and night shifts.
Main duties of the job
We are seeking applications from self-motivated and enthusiastic individuals. The AP team provide support to the Biomedical Scientist staff working within the laboratory.
Applicants will be expected to have a minimum of NVQ Level 3 in Clinical Laboratory Support or equivalent. You will also be able to demonstrate significant additional theoretical or applied experience of working in a clinical Microbiology laboratory.

1. Good general education demonstrated by GCSE's (or equivalent) at grades A-C in maths, English and a Science subject
