An opportunity has arisen within the Council’s Corporate Service Support Team for a Senior Service Support Officer to be recruited into the structure. This part-time (30hrs per week), temporary role will provide an administrative support function to the Council’s Partnerships Team.
About the Role
The role will involve the arranging and minuting of various multi-agency partnership meetings, including the Public Services Board and its associated Project Groups and Sub-groups. The work of the Ceredigion Community Safety Partnership and associated groups will also be supported by this role. The officer will be responsible for arranging virtual and in-person meetings, attending meetings, issuing minutes, and monitoring actions.
The Senior Service Support Officer will monitor the team’s shared inbox, ensuring incoming mail/enquiries are dealt with on behalf of the team. There will be a requirement for the officer to assist with analysing data using Microsoft Office and support with the correlation of information. You will also be required to update web-based information via the corporate internet and intranet.
About the Candidate
The candidate will require an NVQ4 in Business Administration qualification or have proven equivalent experience. Experience of working within an administrative setting will also be essential, and excellent minute-taking skills will be required. The candidate will be expected to deal with external organisations and members of the public and will need to be helpful and understand the importance of providing good customer service. The opportunity would suit someone with a methodical approach to work, excellent attention to detail, and excellent IT skills.
As a minimum requirement for the Welsh language, the successful candidate must have the ability to understand and contribute to a conversation with internal staff and the general public and be able to understand basic Welsh written correspondence.
